The UTN is now in the mediation stage of negotiations.

• Upon return to work in September 2014, UTN members were taking home less money in their paychecks than in June 2014, as our contribution to health insurance increased.
• The current employee health insurance contribution of 21% is among the highest in Suffolk County.
• UTN members continue to make large contributions to their health insurance into retirement.  The Northport-East Northport School District contributes the state minimum for retiree health insurance.
