The following facts are provided to inform the community. More facts to follow.
- Out of respect to the community, UTN members agreed to a HARD FREEZE (unit members did not receive a step increment, nor did they receive a percentage increase to salary) in 2010-2011.
- Shortly after the ratification of that Memorandum of Agreement, the Board of Education announced that it had a budget surplus of $1.97 million for the 2010-20 11 school year as a result of collective bargaining with the UTN.
- In essence, the community taxpayers approved a school budget which included salary increases for UTN members, yet not a penny was used for that purpose.
