APPR 2.0: Student Surveys

by , under Legislative Issues, Local Activism, Member To Member, Professional Issues

According to an article posted on LoHud….

“Classroom observation, including feedback from students, will (be) a “central issue” for the state Legislature to consider next year as it seeks to fine tune controversial teacher evaluations, state Education Commissioner John King said yesterday as he visited a school in Putnam County.”

Yes that’s right, the completely ridiculous evaluation system will likely be “fine tuned” to include student surveys.  Many teachers have wondered how long the madness of the current evaluation system would last, but it looks like it’s going to get worse before it gets better.
