New York State’s education policy should not be about settling political scores.
With Gov. Cuomo’s January 21 State of the State address expected to focus on education, we expect and insist that the governor’s plan for education focus on the state’s Constitutional responsibility to provide adequate funding for public schools … and not on political posturing and responding to the demands of profit-seeking corporate special interests and hedge-fund billionaires.
Today, NYSUT has released a new TV ad demanding that the governor support our future and fairly fund our public schools.
Please help us spread the word, in advance of the State of the State address, that the governor must put politics aside and give our students what they really need to be successful!
