ARTICLE 10 A: MEETINGS

Pursuant to Article 10 A of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, “Teachers may be required to attend meetings on each Monday during the school year immediately preceding or following the school day.  Such meetings shall be limited to sixty (60) minutes unless time is extended by a majority vote of the teachers present … The UTN shall be permitted to use seven (7) Mondays … The teachers involved will be given notice and a copy of the agenda of any meeting they are required to attend no later than the Friday morning preceding such meeting.”

Many years ago, in an effort to clarify and simplify this provision of the contract, the District and Union developed an A, B, C, D day schedule.  Each Monday is assigned a letter designation, beginning with the first Monday of the school year.  Traditionally, “A days” have been used for faculty meetings, “B days” and/or “D days” for department or grade level meetings and “C days” for UTN meetings.
