UPDATE # 27

The UTN was notified earlier today that Board Counsel, John Gross, has submitted a request to
the Public Employment Relations Board for the assignment of a fact finder.
While not unexpected, the timing of this request is somewhat surprising. UTN President Blanck
and Superintendent McDermott have been in discussions, since the defeat of the MOA, in an
attempt to reach a settlement. Furthermore, Mr. Gross had, earlier this week, scheduled a small
group negotiations session for March 1st.
The UTN Negotiations Team will continue to keep you apprised of any further developments in
the days to come.
